Demonstrating sustained adherence to international quality standards, the Philippine Ports Authority – Port Management Office (PMO) of Agusan successfully cleared the ISO 9001:2015 external audit conducted on January 22, 2026, with certification formally recommended by NQA Global Assurance. The favorable audit outcome highlights the PMO’s strong quality management practices and continuing drive to enhance public service delivery.

The audit assessed the effectiveness and conformity of the PMO’s Quality Management System against ISO 9001:2015 requirements, with particular focus on the Vessel Entrance and Clearance (VEC) processes, alongside leadership, operational controls, support functions, and performance evaluation. During the closing meeting, auditors confirmed that the system is properly implemented and effectively maintained across the organization.

Auditors cited several commendable practices, including the visible commitment of top management and personnel to QMS implementation, active staff participation, outstanding customer satisfaction survey results, well-maintained facilities, and complete and updated human resource documentation. The PMO’s culture of continual improvement was further noted through various productivity, environmental, and compliance-related awards and commendations.

While Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs) were identified to further strengthen system robustness, PMO Agusan management affirmed its full commitment to promptly address all areas for enhancement. With certification recommended, the PMO reinforces its standing as a quality-driven government office dedicated to efficient, transparent, and stakeholder-focused port management services.
