As part of its commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunity, the Port Management Office of Agusan conducted a two-day seminar on Gender Equality and Gender-Fair Language on April 29 to 30, 2025, at the PMO Multi-Purpose Hall.
Held in two batches, the sessions were facilitated by Mr. Oliver O. Salino of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) โ Caraga. He emphasized the vital role of gender equality in public service and introduced gender-fair language as a practical tool to eliminate bias and foster inclusivity in both spoken and written communication.
Port Manager Mildred J. Padilla highlighted the PMOโs ongoing efforts to incorporate inclusive language in all official correspondence, reflecting the agencyโs firm stance on gender sensitivity.
The event concluded with open forum where employees shared their insights and expressed strong support for integrating gender-fair practices into everyday workplace interactions.
More than just a learning session, the activity sparked meaningful conversations and reaffirmed the teamโs collective commitment. Through this initiative, PPA PMO Agusan takes another step toward building a truly inclusive and respectful work environment.
