On March 23, 2024, PPA PMO Agusan actively participated in a significant environmental initiative organized by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) – District Northeastern Mindanao in celebration of the International Day of Forests 2024. The event took place at San Roque Beach, Brgy. Punta, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, where the team planted 200 Mangrove propagules in collaboration with Brgy. Punta officials and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) CENRO-Nasipit.
PMO Agusan’s participation in the Mangrove planting activity aligns with the Authorityโs initiative to advocate for environmental conservation, as outlined in PPA AO 14-2020. By working hand in hand with partners and stakeholders, this collaboration continues to make a positive impact on the Caraga region’s ecosystem and contribute to global efforts towards a greener, healthier planet.
