In support of the annual observance of the National Statistics Month (NSM), the Philippine Ports Authority โ Port Management Office (PPA PMO) Agusan actively participated in the 36th NSM Closing Ceremony and the 18th Inter-Agency Statistics Quiz held on October 29, 2025, at The Pavilion, Watergate Hotel, Butuan City. With the theme โAccelerating the SDG Pace of Progress: Mobilizing Data for All,โ the event highlighted the vital role of data-driven programs and initiatives in advancing the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Representing PPA PMO Agusan, Acting Port Manager Atty. Kahlil L. Lamigo expressed full support for the event, emphasizing the importance of accurate and reliable data in promoting evidence-based decision-making and enhancing port operations.
Meanwhile, two PMO statisticians participated in the 18th Inter-Agency Statistics Quiz, showcasing their knowledge and appreciation of the value of statistics in public service. The activity, spearheaded by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Caraga, gathered representatives from various national government agencies, local government units, and academic institutions across the region.
Through its active involvement, PPA PMO Agusan reaffirmed its commitment to promoting statistical awareness and the effective use of data in policy formulation and program implementation.
