In culmination of the Maritime Week Celebration, the PSD personnel of PMO Agusan, in collaboration with Terminal Operator Globalport Agusan Terminal, Inc. (GATI), participated in a joint coastal clean-up on September 30, 2024, at Conventional Berth 1 (C1) of Nasipit Port. The activity brought together seventy-two (72) participants from various sectors, including representatives from Advance Security Agency, Richland, DENR-CENRO, Talisay-Camagong Porters Association, and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

The clean-up efforts successfully collected forty-five (45) sacks of trash, primarily consisting of non-biodegradable items such as plastics and household waste, as well as biodegradable materials like grass. This initiative highlights the urgent need to prevent plastic waste and other pollutants from entering marine environments.

The event reflects the unified commitment of government entities, civil society, and the private sector to protect marine ecosystems, combat climate change, and reduce plastic pollution. Such collaboration marks a significant step toward safeguarding the environment for future generations.
