The Port Management Office of Agusan convened the Second Quarter Joint Meeting of the Port Management Advisory Council (PMAC) and Port Facility Security Advisory Committee (PFSAC) for 2025 on May 20 at the PMO Multipurpose Hall, Nasipit Port. The meeting, chaired by Port Manager Mildred J. Padilla, brought together key stakeholders from shipping lines, law enforcement agencies, national government offices, terminal operators, and representatives from LGU Nasipit and Barangay Talisay.

The council tackled key updates and initiatives concerning port operations, development, and community welfare. Discussions included the status of the Masao Port Expansion and Rehabilitation Project, PMOโ€™s first-quarter operational performance, and coordinated efforts to assist stranded unticketed passengers. Updates on the Weighbridge Operations and enforcement of Nasipit Municipal Ordinance No. 014-2024, which prohibits ticket scalping at the port and imposes penalties on violators, were also discussed.

Security efforts conducted under โ€œOplan Biyaheng Ayosโ€ during the 2025 National and Local Elections were presented, along with the results of recent security drills. The Northern Mindanao School of Fisheries (NMSF), a TESDA-accredited institution, was also given the floor to present its Supervised Industry Learning (SIL) program, designed to provide students with practical skills relevant to the maritime and fisheries sectors.

Terminal operators shared their first-quarter performance highlights. Globalport Agusan Terminal Inc. (GATI), through its new General Manager Mark Lester Tan, presented key accomplishments, including the full implementation of the Globalport Terminal Operating System Plus (GTOS+) and various Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Meanwhile, Concord Arrastre & Stevedoring Corporation (CASCOR) reported on recent milestones and outlined future development plans.

In her closing statement, Port Manager Padilla expressed her appreciation to all council members for their continued engagement and support. She emphasized the vital role of collaboration in advancing PMO Agusanโ€™s objectives and sustaining the portโ€™s momentum for growth. PM Padilla also took the opportunity to thank the stakeholders for their partnership throughout her tenure, as she prepares to retire effective June 1, 2025, after years of dedicated service. She expressed hope that the spirit of unity and shared purpose will continue to guide the PMO in pursuing excellence in port operations and public service.
