The Port Management Office of Agusan observed Ash Wednesday with a solemn Mass today, March 5, 2025, at the PMO Multipurpose Hall. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a sacred season of reflection, repentance, and spiritual renewal in the Christian faith. Employees gathered in prayer as they received ashes on their foreheads, symbolizing humility and a commitment to personal growth.
After the Mass, the PMO held a blessing ceremony for the newly retrofitted Port Integrated Clearance Office (PICO). The PICO serves as a one-stop shop where port users, shipping operators, agents, and consignees can efficiently process transactions and access port services.
The occasion was both solemn and joyful, emphasizing the PICOโs role as a hub for progress, teamwork, and innovation in Agusanโs maritime sector. With upgraded facilities and more efficient operations, the PICO is expected to further improve service delivery and better support the needs of port stakeholders.
