The PMO Agusan Port Police Division in partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 13, conducted a Drug Detection Refresher Course for Baggage Security Screening Machine Operators of Commander Security Services Inc. (CSSI) at the PMO Conference Room, Nasipit Port on October 17, 2024.
The training, facilitated by PDEA Assistant Regional Director-Investigation Agent V Joshua Arquero and Chief of Legal Service Atty. Randy Agustin, aimed to enhance the operatorsโ ability to detect illegal drugs using baggage X-ray machines. Participants were trained on improving detection accuracy, staying informed on emerging drug trafficking trends, and reinforcing security protocols. Hands-on exercises allowed attendees to practice interpreting X-ray images to identify concealed drugs.
This initiative reflects the commitment of PMO Agusan to public safety and its proactive efforts to adapt to evolving drug trafficking techniques.
