Demonstrating its firm commitment to disaster preparedness, the Philippine Ports Authority โ Port Management Office of Agusan participated in the kickoff ceremonies of the 37th National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) held on July 3, 2025. The event was led by the Caraga Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Caraga Region.
With this yearโs theme, โKUMIKILOS: Kayang Umaksyon ng Mamamayan na Isabuhay ang Kahandaan ng Bawat Isa para Maging Ligtas sa Oras ng Sakuna,โ the celebration highlighted the importance of collective action and preparedness in building disaster-resilient communities.
PMO Agusan personnel, headed by Chief Safety Officer Mr. Rezon A. Manal, joined key activities including a thanksgiving Mass at St. Joseph Cathedral, a region-wide motorcade, and the main program held at the Police Regional Office 13 Grandstand. The event gathered various national agencies, local government units, and private sector stakeholders to express unified support for disaster resilience efforts in the Caraga Region.
Through its meaningful participation, PMO Agusan reaffirms its dedication to strengthening port community resilience and supporting collaborative disaster risk reduction and management initiatives.
