The Port Management Office (PMO) of Agusan held its Fourth Quarter Joint Port Management Advisory Council (PMAC) and Port Facility Security Advisory Committee (PFSAC) meeting for CY 2024 on November 26, 3024 at the PMO Multipurpose Hall, Port of Nasipit. Key stakeholders in attendance included representatives from shipping lines, maritime and law enforcement agencies, Local Government Units (LGUs), harbor pilots, and terminal operators Globalport Agusan Terminal Inc. (GATI) and Concord Arrastre & Stevedoring Corp. (CASCOR), alongside senior officers of the PMO.

Presided over by Port Manager Mildred J. Padilla, the meeting focused on important updates and initiatives. The Port Operation and Development Committee presented progress on significant projects, including the Masao Port Expansion and the Proposed Port Zone Delineation for Nasipit Port. The council also reviewed PMO Agusanโ€™s operational performance for the third quarter of 2024, showcasing the portโ€™s resilience in achieving key performance indicators. Other agenda items included updates on the PPAโ€™s Port Environmental Code and the Proposed Municipal Ordinance on Anti-Ticket Scalping.

Terminal operators GATI and CASCOR highlighted their accomplishments in 2024, such as increased cargo handling efficiency and service innovations. They also shared strategies for 2025 aimed at driving operational excellence and sustainable growth. Additionally, the Port Community Welfare Committee discussed heightened security measures to combat illegal activities within the port. Preparations for Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Pasko 2024 were also presented to ensure smooth holiday port operations.

A notable feature of the meeting was the launch of the PMOโ€™s AdVAWcacy calendar by the Gender and Development Focal Point System (GADFPS) Secretariat, supporting the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women. The council members recited the PMO Agusan Safe Spaces Pledge, affirming their commitment to a safe and inclusive environment. The PMO also shared its plans for the Ginintuang Puso sa Ginintuang Pasko program, which includes an outreach project benefiting 30 indigenous families in Barangay Jaguimitan, Nasipit.

In her closing message, PM Padilla expressed her sincere gratitude to the council members and stakeholders for their unwavering support and collaboration throughout the year. The meeting concluded with the distribution of tokens and certificates of appreciation, symbolizing the PMOโ€™s recognition of its partnersโ€™ contributions.
